Walker Catering Supplies has appointed Matthew Vincent as its new managing director, following the firm’s acquisition by NCE earlier this year.
The news of his appointment has been welcomed by many clients due to his previous work as operations manager between 2017 and 2021.
Mr Vincent brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge, with previous positions held at manufacturers such as Rational UK, Robot Coupe, and most recently, Foodservice Equipment Marketing, where he held the role of regional sales manager.
During his 18 years of catering equipment sales experience, he has travelled extensively to various suppliers to view the manufacturing processes and to be trained first hand, most recently at Alto Shaam in Chicago.
This has provided Mr Vincent with a breadth of knowledge to give clients confidence and trust in his ability to offer the best advice.
Before his sales experience, he trained and worked for 14 years as a chef in London at Michelin-starred restaurants with some of the country’s best chefs, giving him a greater understanding of customers’ requirements and the ability to recommend the right product from the range of goods Walker Catering has to offer.
Mr Vincent said: “I am really looking forward to the new challenge and working closely with the NCE group. Walkers has had a very good reputation around the midlands, and I will look to keep up with the previous standards as well as modernising the operation to keep up with the current climate changes.”
Mo Romanowicz, owner of the NCE group, said the group is excited to welcome Mr Vincent back on board at Walker as the new managing director, adding that the move would allow him to take a step back in order to focus on the wider group’s growth.
